"Pre-loved luxury, loved again." That's the idea behind Lost Designer, a boutique at 428E Toorak Road dedicated to pre-owned luxury, where every piece is authenticated, every seller is paid fairly and every buyer can shop with confidence.
Three brothers, one belief
Lost Designer was started by three brothers who shared a belief that pre-owned luxury deserved better than it was getting. In 2019 they opened the boutique to be the place they wished existed: somewhere quality is recognised, trust is earned and every piece finds the right home.
They chose Toorak because they believed Australia's luxury resale market deserved a dedicated home, not just a listing page. They wanted a place where clients are looked after, items are handled with expertise and every transaction is completely transparent. Today Lost Designer works with clients across Australia, from people who walk through the door to consignors sending pieces from across the country.
A second chapter
Every luxury piece has a story, the brothers say, and when it moves to a new owner that story should continue with the same care it was given the first time. To them, pre-owned doesn't mean second best. It means considered and sustainable, and it gives something beautiful a second chapter.
Standing behind every piece
Lost Designer is built on three promises:
- Every item is authenticated. Bags, watches and fine jewellery are checked by the in-house team before they reach the floor.
- Real people, real service. It's a boutique, not a platform, with people who know luxury and care about the outcome.
- Transparency from the start. Sellers know exactly what they'll receive before committing, and buyers get full visibility of condition, provenance and history.
As well as selling, the boutique helps people sell or consign their own pieces, including bags from houses such as Chanel, Hermès and Louis Vuitton, and it buys gold in store or by post.
