Eureka! Beads, Cheltenham: Over 1,000 Styles of Glass Beads and a 25-Metre Wall of Findings

If you make jewellery, Eureka! Beads is worth the trip. This family-run bead shop at Shop 3A, 1295 Nepean Highway, Cheltenham, has been supplying beading and jewellery-making supplies for over 40 years, and as it says itself, "you can imagine we've amassed quite the collection!"

A showroom built for beaders

The spacious Cheltenham shop features over 1,000 styles of glass beads, a 25-metre wall of findings, and a wide selection of metal beads, semi-precious beads, pendants and magazines. Shelves run from seed beads, Czech glass and Preciosa crystal to pearls, charms, clasps, chain, cords and tools, and there are beading kits and free project instructions for earrings, bracelets, necklaces and Christmas pieces.

Roots in the glass arts

Eureka! Beads began in the glass arts: leadlighting, glassblowing and carved glass. Glass still plays a big role in what it does, and the showroom displays its handcrafted glass creations, including blown glass bowls, paperweights, leadlight lamps, etched glassware and finished jewellery pieces.

Beads for schools and community groups

Eureka! Beads also supplies bulk beads to schools, NDIS-funded programs, aged care facilities and community craft groups. Large-hole wooden and acrylic beads are easy to thread and suit children, adults and people with limited dexterity.
