As owner, baker and cake decorator of The Icing Artist, she runs a bespoke cake studio from 10a Locinda Street, Highett, creating custom designs for birthdays, weddings, corporate events, cafés, cookies and cupcakes. The studio was established in 2015, and Simone is happy to cater for special occasions wherever you are in Melbourne.
From a decorator's bench to London
Simone began her baking and decorating career many years ago. After four years as a decorator, at 24, she had the chance to buy her own franchise, and learned the business side along the way. Four years later she sold the business and headed to London, where she worked at a popular cake company and fell in love with the art of sugarcraft, working alongside and learning from some of the best sugar artists in the business. Now back in Melbourne, she brings those skills to Bayside, and her passion is plain: creating bespoke cakes that give each celebration an individual touch.
Cakes for every occasion
