Pursue Health, Highett: Physios Who Work With Local Footy and Netball Clubs, Plus a StrongHER Program

"Helping active people stay strong, confident, and active for longer." That's the focus at Pursue Health, a clinic at Suite 2, 1104-1106 Nepean Highway, Highett, offering physiotherapy, podiatry, pilates and massage to help people recover from injury, rebuild strength and keep doing what matters to them.

A clear pathway

"Most people aren't lacking motivation. They're lacking clarity," the clinic says. Its approach starts with an assessment and clear direction, then targeted treatment and progressive exercise to rebuild movement and strength, and finally a return to activity, with support to keep progressing beyond the point where pain settles.

A team rooted in local sport

The team's sporting links run deep. Anthony, an APA Sports Physiotherapist, is Head Physiotherapist at Hampton Rovers Football Club and also manages the Southern Saints netball team and Parkdale Vultures Super Rules. Physiotherapist Meg works with the Southern Saints in the Victorian Netball League, while Oliver, an ultramarathon runner, works with runners and triathletes across Bayside. Sports podiatrist John was the first podiatrist in Australia to earn the Certified Sports Podiatrist credential from the Australian Podiatry Association, and myotherapist and remedial massage therapist Andrea also works as a sports trainer with local football clubs.

StrongHER

Physiotherapist Kamala has a special interest in supporting women through perimenopause and menopause, and the clinic runs StrongHER, an evidence-based exercise program led by physiotherapists and designed around bone health and strength. Participants start with up to two individual physiotherapy appointments before joining group sessions, which currently run on Tuesdays at 6pm and Fridays at 1pm, either fully supervised or as a hybrid with a home or gym program.
