Hearing is something most of us take for granted until it starts to change. AudioLogic Hearing, which has a clinic at 3/414 Toorak Road, Toorak, describes itself as your local, independent audiology expert, helping people find the right hearing solution for their lifestyle.
Independent by design
Established in 2010, AudioLogic Hearing is an independent audiology and hearing aid clinic offering premium hearing care to adults and children. It is neither a hearing aid manufacturer nor part of a large hearing aid retail chain. The clinic says that means patients receive ongoing care and support for the lifetime of their hearing aids, which it considers essential for a successful fitting and for getting the most out of them. As well as Toorak, AudioLogic has clinics in Tecoma and Emerald.
Led by an experienced audiologist
Director and founder Dr Michelle Pasinati holds a Doctorate in Audiology from A.T. Still University in Arizona and a Master of Clinical Audiology from the University of Melbourne, and has more than 20 years of industry experience. The clinic says its patients receive exceptional service from professional, personable and caring staff.
Services
AudioLogic's services include:
- diagnostic hearing assessments for adults and children;
- tinnitus and hyperacusis counselling and management;
- hearing aid fittings, adjustments and servicing;
- custom earplugs;
- microsuction wax removal.
It is also an accredited provider of Lyric, which it describes as the only 100% invisible hearing aid, worn 24/7 with no maintenance.
Custom earplugs
AudioLogic makes custom earplugs for noise (both industrial noise and snoring), swimming and music. A fully qualified audiologist takes an impression of your ear, which is sent to the manufacturer. The earplugs take about two weeks, and you can choose the colour. When they arrive, the audiologist checks they fit comfortably and seal well, and shows you how to put them in, take them out and look after them.
What patients say
Reviews on the website praise the team's patience and attention to detail. Patients describe feeling no pressure to buy, flexible appointment times, and a clinic that made a four-year-old feel at ease. "It pays to see an independent fully qualified audiologist," one patient writes.
